Yolanda D. King Achieving The Dream Scholarship
Yolanda D. King Achieving The Dream Scholarship is open to college sophomores attending one of three Atlanta, Georgia area colleges. These include Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College.

Students must be sophomores in order to apply and have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Students may major in any discipline but must have a strong interest in social sciences and the arts.


The scholarship pays for the cost of books for two years. Two scholarships are awarded every year to deserving students.

The scholarship is named after Yolanda Denise King, the eldest daughter of Martin Luther King. Application requirements include an essay, grade transcripts, and a letter of reference from a professor.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in JUNE of each year, and the award amount VARIES.
