Emerge Scholarships

Emerge Scholarships are awarded to women whose education has been interrupted and who want to return to school to finish their education. Up to 13 scholarships are awarded every year.

Eligible women may include those returning to school after a hiatus, women who are changing careers or needing further education for career advancement, mothers returning to the workforce and others. Women must be 25 years old or older and enrolled in an accredited institution. Scholarship money may be used for tuition and fees.

To apply, women may complete an application and include an essay, two letters of recommendation and transcript of grades. Candidates are chosen based on financial need, strength of personal goals, and a commitment to use their education to help others in their communities.

Emerge is a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, that was founded in 2001. The organization's purpose is to help deserving women who have demonstrated a deep commitment to their education and to giving back to their communities. Strong candidates for scholarships are those who demonstrate an understanding that education is key to attaining their goals in life.

The deadline for this scholarship is usually in SEPTEMBER of each year, and the award amount is usually $2,000 - $5,000.
