Educate It Forward ELL Hispanic Heritage Scholarship is open to high school seniors of Hispanic or Latino descent. Eligible students must be nominated by a English Language Learner (ELL) teacher.

Recipients must be outstanding students who are not only academic achievers but also active contributors to their communities. Students of Hispanic or Latino descent must be nominated by a teacher who is able to acknowledge their eligibility.

To apply, students must have a nominating teacher submit an application along with a format letter of recommendation on school letterhead and a letter of recommendation from a teacher who has actually taught the students.

The scholarship is offered by Mirtalita & Johnny, a Long Island, New York couple whose goal is to award four scholarships each year to deserving Hispanic students. Mirtalita is a high school Spanish and Italian teacher and Johnny is a Navy Veteran and a computer engineer. The scholarship was started at the high school where Mirtalita works. The couple is dedicated to providing scholarships for Hispanic students who share their value of education.

Google Science Fair ScholarshipGoogle Science Fair is open to students around the world age 13 through 18. Students enter by creating a science fair project for a chance to be one of three scholarship winners.

Students must create a science project that will change the world. It must be a project that represents a topic they care about. Students must first sign up for a Google account and then register for the competition. They may work alone or in teams; all work but be original ideas submitted by students. Parental consent is required.

Entry categories include computer science and math, earth and environmental sciences, behavioral and social sciences, flora and fauna, energy and space, inventions and innovation, physics, biology, chemistry, food science, and electricity and electronics. All entries must be either a video or a presentation. Three winners are chosen. The grand prize winner will receive a National Geographic expedition to the Galapagos Islands and a scholarship. Two finalists will each receive a scholarship.

The contest is offered by Google, a multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products. The company was founded by two Ph.D. Stanford University students in 1998 and is headquartered in Mountain View, California.

Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MMCA) LMJ Scholarship is open to law students who are pursuing a career in the law profession. The scholarship seeks to award outstanding students who are committed to diversity and inclusion.

Students must be attending law school full-time and have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Applicants must also have financial need and attend an accredited law school in the U.S. Each student who applies must have an interest in a career in corporate law in either a law firm or in the law department of a corporation.

A total of 15 scholarships are awarded each year. The purpose of the scholarship is to increase the number of diverse students in the law profession. To apply, students need to submit an application, complete an essay, and include a resume, transcripts and two letters of recommendation.

American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Scholarships are offered to college students majoring in accounting. Four different scholarships are offered to undergraduate and graduate students who qualify.

John L. Carey Scholarship is for non-business undergraduates who want to pursue a graduate degree in accounting. Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students is open to minority students pursuing undergraduate degrees in accounting. Accountemps Student Scholarship offers assistance to undergraduate and graduate accounting majors who are pursuing careers in the CPA profession. Foundation Two-year Transfer Scholarship is for students with an associates degree in business, accounting, finance, or economics who want to transfer to a four-year college and major in accounting.

All students applying for scholarships must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above, enroll as full-time students at a four-year college or university, and be U.S. citizens. Scholarships cover tuition, fees, room and board, books and materials.

Scholarships are sponsored by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), a professional organization founded in 1887 that represents the interests of CPA professionals around the country. The organization establishes educational requirements for CPA's as well as professional standards for ethics. Buildium’s Build U. Scholarship is open to college students enrolled in a Product Design, Interaction Design, Engineering, or Computer Science program. Two scholarships are awarded, one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled in college as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior. Applicable areas of study can include Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services, Engineering, and Engineering Technologies. To apply, applicants must write an essay of 1,000 words that explains how having a shared set of beliefs is important for building a great company.

All applications must be sent by email. Winners are chosen based on originality and quality of writing. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited public or private college or university and be in good standing.

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships are open to African American and Hispanic high school seniors who plan to pursue a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). Four scholarships are awarded each year.

Eligible students must be attending a high school that is in a member district of the Council of the Great City Schools and plan to attend a four-year college or university full time. They are required to have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. All students applying must be of African American or Hispanic/Latino descent.

Scholarships are awarded to two African American and two Hispanic students every spring. The purpose of the scholarship program is to encourage more African American and Hispanic students to consider careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The scholarship program was created by Dr. Bernard Harris, a former astronaut, physician and businessman, and by ExxonMobil in 2010. Dr. Harris is a strong role model for students and a strong supporter of education as the key to progress. The scholarship is administered by the Council of the Great City Schools, a Washington D.C.-based organization that exclusively represents the needs of urban public schools.

The scholarship is renewable each year for up to four years of college at a two- or four-year accredited college, university or community college. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above in order to apply.

Students from anywhere in the U.S. may apply. They may reapply for continued scholarship funding each year for up to four years, as long as they maintain GPA eligibility requirements.
